1. My cousin Josh texting Garrett to see if we'd gotten a special "Christmas" present and Garrett responding back that we were working on "unwrapping" one at that moment.
2. Garrett being so good about updating my sisters and then accidentally revealing her name to friends before some of our family by texting friends her name before I'd had a chance to call them and provide that detail. Oops. That won't be happening next time.
3. The nurses and Dr. confirming that yes she was indeed a "good sized" baby.
4. Garrett not getting any sympathy from the nurses when he accidentally commented that his arm was getting tired from holding my leg. Silly Daddy!
5. The absolute joy of seeing her, hearing her and holding her for the first time. She is such a miracle and we are so blessed to have her.
Now, for the fun part. I decided to put together a collage of Audrey's first six months. I'm also going to share some of her likes and dislikes:
Likes: Putting her hand out for Barney to "kiss", talking to Mommy and Daddy, her cuddly blanket for naps and bedtime, her pacifier, her toes, food, paper, jumping, rolling, phones, remotes, lotions, anything she can grab and hold, books, being read to, funny sounds, making noises with her fingers, textures, seeing Mommy and Daddy after they've been gone for any length of time, "zerbits" or as I like to call them blowing raspberries on her tummy, swimming, bath toys.
Dislikes: Bright light (like the sun), getting stuck while rolling or attempting to crawl, when Mommy and Daddy don't get the veggies or fruit ready fast enough, not being able to find her pacifier in the middle of the night.
As you can see she likes much more than she dislikes. She is still a very good eater and enjoys pretty much everything we give her. She likes sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, peas, carrots, apples, pears, peaches, bananas. Her favorite fruits are probably apples or pears and her favorite veggies seem to be sweet potatoes or squash but she will eagerly eat anything so far!
